As a start-up, it’s almost impossible to miss Venturelab. The most important program for early-stage financing is Venture Kick. Start-ups from universities can pitch for so-called “kicks” across several stages, while also receiving valuable coaching along the way. Even at the idea stage, there’s already CHF 10,000 available.

Young companies in Graubünden are supported on their path to independence by the INNOZET foundation. It provides advisory services and financial support in collaboration with Graubündner Kantonalbank and TRUMPF Schweiz AG. INNOZET opens doors to an extensive network and enables collaboration with experienced industrial partners and knowledge carriers.
Start-ups in the Canton of Graubünden can already benefit from grants and loans for product, process, and service innovations at an early stage (Economic Development Act). These funds are awarded based on the business model or business plan and tied to jointly defined milestones along the development process of the innovation. Development services may be subsidized with contributions of up to 25% that do not need to be repaid. Additionally, infrastructure necessary for implementing innovation (such as production facilities or clean rooms) may be supported through loans. There is also the possibility of tax relief, assessed by the cantonal tax authority. The moderate corporate tax rate, the patent box with up to 90% relief, and an R&D super-deduction of up to 50% offer further fiscal advantages for innovative companies.
